Fighting for the Injured–It’s All We Do

Lowe Injury Law was built on one simple idea: when someone’s hurt through no fault of their own, they deserve someone in their corner. That’s where we come in.

Whether it’s a car crash, a slip-and-fall, or a medical mistake, we’re here to make sure you’re not left dealing with it all alone. We handle the legal side so you can focus on getting better.

Our goal has always been the same: to deliver results, to treat every client with respect, and to make the process less stressful during one of the hardest times in someone’s life.

Peter Lowe

Founder

Pete Lowe founded Lowe Law Group in 2012 to help injured people get their lives back on track. Since then, LLG has recovered over $550 million for clients who’ve suffered from the carelessness of others. For Pete, every case is a chance to help an individual and their family overcome one of life’s darkest moments. He knows from personal experience what it’s like to be seriously injured—and how easily we can talk ourselves out of pursuing justice.

Under Pete’s leadership, LLG has innovated a model of personal injury law that integrates legal and medical expertise. The firm’s full-time doctor assesses injuries and their long-term impact, enabling the attorneys to win settlements and verdicts that reflect the true cost of the injury. This also ensures that clients get the medical treatment they need to recover and live life fully.

Raised in Huntsville, Utah, Pete grew up building fences and pipelines on his family’s horse ranch. In his teens, he became an elite rock climber and went on to set routes and summit peaks around the world.

While studying law at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Pete began to work part-time for a personal injury firm—and knew it was the perfect fit. The contingency-fee model enabled people to get a top lawyer regardless of their financial means. It also incentivized attorneys to improve people’s lives rather than run up billable hours.

Pete’s passion for defending the injured comes from personal experience. While Pete was growing up, two of his siblings were badly injured in auto accidents caused by someone else’s negligence. But his family’s “old school” reluctance to sue meant that neither of his siblings received adequate compensation. That still bothers Pete.

Later in life, Pete injured his neck while rock climbing and had to work through the uncertainty, frustration, and pain of recovering from emergency surgery. He learned first hand that injuries can turn someone’s life upside down—and that empathetic support from friends, family, and professionals can make all the difference in recovery.

Outside of work, Pete still climbs hard. He’s summited Ama Dablam (22,349 feet) in the Himalayas, climbed El Capitan in Yosemite National Park multiple times, and ____. Pete also loves to mountain bike with his wife and three kids, who are beginning to leave him in the literal dust.

Eric Hinckley

Partner

As managing attorney at Lowe Law Group, Eric Hinckley has fought for injured Americans since 2013. Under his leadership, the firm has recovered more than $500 million for clients, helping them recover physically and financially in one of life’s toughest moments.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Eric came of age when the Luxor and Excalibur hotels were new and cool. After earning a law degree at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, he began working for an insurance defense firm. However, he became disgusted with how insurance companies bullied, manipulated, and deceived injured people just to pad corporate profits. He also grew frustrated at how often lazy, inexperienced lawyers failed their injured clients.

So, Eric changed sides and now uses his inside knowledge of insurance to protect families. He joined LLG when it was a one-man show and helped build a team that does what is best for clients, not what is quickest or easiest. Over the years, LLG has earned a reputation for taking insurance companies to trial—and winning—when they try to undercompensate clients.

A father of five, Eric loves to cheer on his kids at their football, tennis, and mountain biking events. He gets them out skiing and hiking in the Wasatch and Tetons as often as possible. Eric also enjoys playing basketball but has retired from church ball—it’s too injury-prone for his age group.

James Jackson

Partner

A partner at Lowe Law Group, James Jackson is known for his hustle and relentless approach to winning personal injury cases. James is one of the few attorneys out there willing to take a case all the way to trial when an insurance company is unreasonable. He enjoys being in the courtroom fighting for what is right.

Born and raised in Springville, Utah, James grew up competing in martial arts and playing sports, which turned out to be good preparation for the intensity of personal injury trials. He graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2016. After a quick stint in commercial litigation, he realized he was meant to fight for those that need it most and joined Lowe Law Group, where he has helped thousands of clients get fair compensation for their injuries.

Every day, James sees how insurance defense lawyers try to bully and manipulate injured Americans. He is passionate about fighting for people who cannot fight for themselves and believes that everyone deserves a fierce advocate.

Ultra-competitive, James pursues physically demanding hobbies and especially enjoys backpacking and bowhunting out in the wilderness for days at a time. As a volunteer at his church, James also leads young men on service projects and outdoor adventures. Above all, he is a husband and proud father to three sons.

Jason Harmon

Attorney

When insurance companies try to lowball LLG clients, trial attorney Jason Harmon takes the case from complaint to verdict. He is responsible for winning LLG’s largest court case to date, a multimillion-dollar wrongful death suit.

Born and raised in Orem, Utah, Jason grew up riding motorcycles and four wheelers. He began working at age eight in his grandparent’s arcade, where he washed windows, scraped gum off machines, and exchanged tickets for prizes. After serving a mission in Argentina, Jason attended college at Utah Valley University and law school at the University of Kansas. He is a proud member of the Comanche Nation and was able to pursue higher education thanks to his tribe’s support.

Jason believes in getting to know his clients—not just the details of their accident but how it has affected their life and family. A skilled storyteller and fierce advocate, he outworks and outsmarts the opposition to ensure his clients receive a fair trial. Having previously worked to defend companies who were sued, he knows how to counter their tactics.

A husband and father of five, Jason spends his free time cheering on his kids at their sporting events. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, mentoring the next generation of advocates. Jason is active in his church and remains a Jayhawks and Chiefs fan after his stint in Kansas.

Devin Ross

Attorney

A trial attorney at Lowe Law Group, Devin serves clients throughout the midwest. His recent victories include a $1.1 million verdict in North Dakota—more than five times what the defense had offered his client.

Born in Utah and raised in Kansas City, Devin served a two-year mission in Peru, where he became fluent in Spanish. He completed his undergrad at Brigham Young University and law degree at the University of Kansas. In 2009, Devin began his career at a large, 600-attorney firm defending pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He made partner in 2016 and was named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” each year from 2013 to 2021.

While practicing in “big law,” Devin observed that insurance companies and corporations—like those he defended—often got away with undercompensating injury victims. Personal injury lawyers were too willing to settle and too afraid of going to trial. Devin knew that with his experience, he could be a better advocate for injured people and their families. He joined LLG in 2022, eager to fight for justice and the compensation clients deserve.

A husband and a father to three daughters, Devin is passionate about church, community service, and Kansas City sports. In his free time, he enjoys riding his Harley Low Rider S and playing piano, which he taught as a teenager.

Niklas Simmons

Attorney

An attorney at Lowe Law Group, Niklas Simmons focuses on auto accidents and is especially passionate about representing motorcyclists.

An avid motorcycle rider, Nik got his first bike—a 1965 Honda Dream—from his grandparents’ basement where it had been hidden for nearly 50 years. Unfortunately, he has seen what careless drivers can do to riders and their families. Throughout college, Nik worked at a care facility for individuals who had suffered traumatic brain injuries. Seeing how insurance companies treat people who cannot stand up for themselves led Nik to a career in personal injury law.

When Nik isn’t preparing for trials, you’ll see him out on his 1981 Honda CB900, 1997 Honda Valkyrie, 2005 CBR600RR, or 1965 Dream. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, working in the garage on his bikes or his 4Runner, snowboarding, fishing Utah’s alpine streams, and growing flowers.

Nik was raised in Farmington, Utah and earned his law degree at the University of Utah. He has worked with the Lowe Law Group since 2021.
